Milled Flaxseed Porridge
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of whole of halved nuts or hulled hemp
- 3/4 cup of milk of your choice
- a pinch of salt
- 1/4 Cup of ground flaxseed
- 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon
- sweeten to taste with honey, maple syrup or stevia

Cooking Instructions:
Place nuts and milled flaxseed in a blender and pulser until coarse meal is formed.
Add flaxseed mixture to a pot, add the milk, cinnamon, and sweetener. Simmer over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, and make sure not to leave the pot unattended, as the mixture will thicken quite quickly. Add a bit more liquid to adjust consistency if need to.
Top with fruit, a swirl of jam, or whatever you would traditionally have on your oatmeal.
