Cooking Instructions:

Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the peppers and onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until it starts to brown. Add the pork loin and continue to sauté for another 7 to 8 minutes until the pork starts to brown. Add the garlic, 2 eggs, and spice pouch, and mix until the eggs starts to scramble.

Add the NorthernEdge® Oat Rice along with the rest of the ingredients and stir fry until everything is heated through. Make sure to scrape the very bottom of the pan while stirring to prevent any of the ingredients from burning.

How to Cook Oat Rice!

Decide on how many servings you need

Think of NorthernEdge® Oat Rice as 1 box of Kraft dinner! One cup of raw oat rice would make 4 servings.

Lets get cooking!

Add one cup of NorthernEdge® Oat Rice to three cups of water into a pot and cover with a lid.

Boil That Baby!

Turn on to high, once it comes to a boil turn down to medium heat.

But for how long? – Sticky Rice

If you prefer a more-sticky texture, the total cook time of the oat rice should not exceed 20 minutes (starting once you turned on the element), and the rice does not need to be rinsed.

But for how long? – Loose Kernels

If you would like to have a more traditional texture to your oat rice, the total cook time of the oat rice should not exceed 15 minutes (starting once you turned on the element), and the oat rice can be rinsed with warm water.

Side or Main?

BOTH! This delicious rice-alternative can be enjoyed on its own, as well as a side dish!
